Olyra Business Radar

See which part of your business needs you this week — before it shows up in the numbers.

One radar for the health of the whole company. Every KPI is scored, ranked by what needs attention and traceable to the record it came from. Business Radar runs on your Knowledge Engine, so it reads your systems once, under your control, and Olyra operates it as a managed service.

What is Olyra Business Radar? Business Radar is a business-health view for owners, executives and boards. The top of the screen is a radar of eight dimensions of the business, such as demand, cash, delivery, quality and risk. Hover over a spoke and it shows the three KPIs that most need attention. Select it and every KPI in that dimension is listed, ranked by an explicit attention score that weighs the gap to target, the direction of travel and how much the KPI matters. Each KPI says what it is, where its data came from, how fresh it is and what the agreed response is when it goes red. Business Radar is an add-on to the Olyra Knowledge Engine and needs it: it reads typed business records from your engine and nothing else, so it adds no new connectors and holds no credentials for your systems.

The problem

Dashboards show numbers. They do not tell you where to look.

Most companies have plenty of reports. What they lack is one trusted place that says which area has slipped, why it matters and who acts.

Pain

The Monday spreadsheet

Someone assembles last week’s numbers from five systems by hand. By the time the meeting starts, the data is already old and nobody is sure which version is right.

Pain

Everything looks equally important

Forty KPIs, all coloured, none ranked. The loud one gets attention, and the quiet one that was heading for trouble gets noticed late.

Pain

Red with no response

A red number sits there. Who owns it? What do we do when it is red? The answer lives in someone’s head, if anywhere.

Pain

Numbers you cannot trace

“Where does this figure come from?” leads to a chase through exports and formulas. Trust drops, and people go back to gut feel.

Pain

One report per system

Sales sees the CRM, finance sees the ledger, operations sees the plant. The links between them, such as an engineering change that delays delivery that delays cash, appear only in hindsight.

Pain

The board pack is a project

Each quarter, days go into assembling slides that are out of date when they are presented, and that cannot be checked afterwards.

What it looks like

One radar. One ranked list. Every number explained.

These screens show a fictional company, ACME Engineered Systems, on demonstration data. They are not a customer’s numbers.

Business Radar overview for a fictional engineered-to-order manufacturer: an eight-spoke radar of dimension health, a ranked list of the ten KPIs that most need attention, and a card for each dimension.

Hover

Preview any spoke

Hover over a dimension and the three KPIs that most need attention appear, with value, target and the reason each one ranks where it does.

Select

Drill into every KPI

Select a dimension to see all of its KPIs ranked by attention, with a 26-week trend for each and the agreed response when the dimension goes red.

Hover preview on the Business Radar radar: the Engineering Flow dimension shows a score of 54, down 12.8 points in four weeks, with its three most urgent KPIs.

How it works

Your Knowledge Engine does the reading. Radar does the judging.

Business Radar sits on top of the engine you already run, and uses what it already knows about your systems.

1

The engine already reads your systems

Your Knowledge Engine connects to the places the business runs: ERP, CRM, accounting, helpdesk, planning and quality systems, beside your documents. It turns them into typed, read-only records with freshness, source and quality attached.

2

Radar computes every KPI itself

Business Radar pulls those records, computes each KPI from the definition in its library and scores it against your targets. It never holds a login to your ERP or CRM, and it can only see what the engine is able to give it.

3

It ranks, explains and says what to do

KPIs are ranked by an attention score, not by who shouts loudest. Each one shows its trend, its source and the response your team agreed for when it goes amber or red.

Capabilities

What you get

A view for the owner and the board, built to be checked rather than just believed.

01

The radar

Eight dimensions, one glance

  • Health score for the whole company and for each dimension, with the trend against four weeks ago
  • Hover a spoke to see its three most urgent KPIs
  • A plain-language headline: healthy overall, or which dimension needs action
  • Target and previous-period outlines so movement is visible
02

Attention ranking

The right thing first

  • Every KPI gets an attention score from its gap to target, how fast it is deteriorating, how much it matters and how stale or uncertain its data is
  • Explained in words next to each KPI, so no one has to trust a black box
  • Strategic weights you set, so the ranking reflects your priorities
03

Traceable numbers

Every KPI shows its working

  • Definition, thresholds, 26-week history and the reasoning behind its rank
  • Source system, freshness and data quality shown with the figure
  • A lineage panel records the run, the registry version and the sources behind the screen
04

Decisions, not just colours

What we do when this goes red

  • Each dimension and KPI carries the response agreed in advance, and who owns it
  • Amber and red actions are written down once and shown wherever the KPI appears
  • Turns a red number into a Monday-morning decision
05

Board-ready

Present it, print it, share it

  • Presentation mode for the leadership meeting
  • A board pack you can export as PDF, built from the same data as the screen
  • Light and dark themes, and a layout that works on a phone
06

Honest about its data

Missing data is shown as missing

  • Coverage shows what share of your KPIs actually have data
  • A KPI with no source shows as not yet measured, never as a comfortable green
  • Demonstration data is always labelled as such
Why it needs the Knowledge Engine

Radar is only as trustworthy as what it reads

That is why it reads from one governed place instead of building its own connections.

One source

Your systems are connected once

The engine already holds the connections to your ERP, CRM and other systems. Radar adds no second set of connectors, credentials or sync jobs to maintain or secure.

One rulebook

Same permissions, same audit trail

Business records arrive under the engine’s access rules and are covered by its audit chain. Radar can only see what the engine is able to give it.

One standard

Freshness and quality travel with the data

Every record carries its source, its last sync and a quality measure, so a KPI built on stale or partial data is flagged instead of presented as fact.

If you do not run a Knowledge Engine yet, that is where to start. It gives your people and your AI assistants cited answers across your files, mail and systems, and it is the foundation Business Radar builds on. See the Knowledge Engine.

Who it is for

For the people who answer for the whole business

Owners

Founders and owner-managers

See the whole business on one page, and know within a minute whether anything needs you. Useful when preparing a company for sale, because the business can show how it is run.

Executives

CEOs, COOs and CFOs

Run the weekly leadership meeting from one ranked list instead of five reports, with an owner and a response on every red.

Boards and investors

Boards, PE and portfolio teams

Compare companies with the same eight dimensions, and follow a company through a transition with numbers that can be traced.

Access and control

Confidential by design

Business Radar shows the numbers that run your company, so it is built to be private.

Getting started

From connected systems to a working radar

Business Radar is set up with you, on top of an engine that is already reading your systems.

1

Confirm the sources

We check which systems your Knowledge Engine already sees, and which KPIs they can support.

2

Choose what matters

You pick the departments and industry packs that apply, the KPIs that count and the targets, owners and responses for each.

3

See the first radar

The first radar shows real coverage: what is measured, and what is not yet, so nothing is hidden behind a good-looking number.

4

Run the rhythm

The radar becomes the weekly leadership routine, and Olyra adds KPIs and sources as the business asks for them.

Questions

Business Radar FAQ

Do we need the Knowledge Engine to use Business Radar?

Yes. Business Radar reads typed business records from your Knowledge Engine and nothing else. That is deliberate: your systems are connected once, under one set of access rules and one audit trail. If you do not run the Knowledge Engine yet, that is the first step.

Are the screenshots real company data?

No. They show a fictional manufacturer, ACME Engineered Systems, on demonstration data, and the product labels demonstration data on screen. Customer data is never used in marketing.

Does it replace our BI tool?

It does a different job. A BI tool is for exploring data. Business Radar is a ranked view of what needs attention, with owners, responses and traceable numbers. It needs no BI licence to view, and it can sit beside the tools you already use.

Can we choose our own KPIs and targets?

Yes. Business Radar starts from a library of more than 500 KPI definitions with packs for industries such as manufacturing and engineering. You choose which apply, set targets and weights, and decide who owns each response.

What if a system is not connected yet?

The KPIs that depend on it show as not yet measured, and coverage tells you how much of the picture you have. Missing data is never shown as good news.

Does it track individual employees?

Not by default. Measures are at team and business level. Anything about individuals is something you would have to choose explicitly, and it must be allowed where you operate.

Where does the data live?

In your own environment, with your Knowledge Engine. Olyra operates the service but does not hold a copy of your business data.

How do we get it?

Book a briefing. We look at which systems your Knowledge Engine sees, agree the first set of KPIs and show you the radar on demonstration data before you decide.
