AI Strategy & Roadmapping

Turn scattered AI interest into a ranked, funded, sequenced plan. Executive alignment, honest business cases, and a roadmap that tells you what to do first, what to skip, and what it should cost.

What is AI strategy consulting? It is the work of deciding where artificial intelligence will create measurable value in a specific organization — and where it won't. A strategy engagement assesses current workflows, data, and systems; identifies and ranks 3–5 realistic use cases by impact, effort, and readiness; builds the business case for each; makes build-versus-buy recommendations; and sequences everything into a roadmap with budget, owners, dependencies, and a measurement framework. The output is a plan a board can fund and an operations team can execute.

Method

How it connects to delivery

Strategy work maps to Phase 1 of the Olyra 120 — and unlike standalone strategy decks, it is written to be executed: every initiative arrives with owners, systems, sequence, and success measures. Many clients enter through the AI Operations Audit, whose findings feed the strategy directly; others come here first when board alignment is the pressing need.

Questions

Strategy FAQ

How is this different from the AI Operations Audit?

The Audit is a two-week operational diagnostic — workflow mapping, readiness scoring, and a prioritized roadmap focused on where value hides in your operations. Strategy & Roadmapping goes wider and more executive: alignment across leadership, business cases sized for budgeting, build-vs-buy positions, and a board-ready plan. Many clients run the Audit first and use its findings as the strategy's evidence base; organizations with urgent board deadlines often start here.

Do you write strategies you don't implement?

Yes, deliberately. The roadmap is written so your internal team or another partner can execute it — named workflows, systems, sequence, success measures. About half our strategy clients ask us to implement the first phase; the other half execute internally with periodic reviews. Both are good outcomes.

What if the honest answer is “not yet”?

Then the roadmap says so. Some organizations need data cleanup, system consolidation, or process discipline before AI will pay. You'll get the prerequisites, the sequence, and the trigger conditions for revisiting — which is cheaper than learning it from a failed pilot.

Who needs to be involved from our side?

An executive sponsor, the leaders of in-scope departments for interviews, and whoever knows your systems and data. Total leadership time is typically 8–12 hours across the engagement — we're structured to be light on your calendar.

Start with an AI Operations Audit — a fixed-scope diagnostic that maps your workflows, scores your AI readiness, and hands you a prioritized 120-day roadmap. If we don't find real opportunities, you'll know that too.
