Operational Intelligence Systems
Dashboards, KPIs, and decision support built on your live data — so leadership sees what's happening while it's happening, not at month-end.
What is an operational intelligence system? It is a reporting and decision-support layer built on top of an organization's existing systems — ERP, CRM, finance, spreadsheets, and operational tools — that consolidates data into live dashboards, KPIs, alerts, and executive reports. Where business intelligence looks backward at monthly results, operational intelligence surfaces current state: today's throughput, this week's exceptions, emerging bottlenecks, and the numbers leaders need for decisions now.
Who this is for
- Executives making decisions on stale or conflicting reports
- Multi-location or multi-entity organizations with no consolidated view
- Ops leaders who discover problems from complaints instead of data
- Finance teams assembling the same spreadsheet every week
What this fixes
Reports take days and are outdated on arrival
Every department has different numbers for the same question
Bottlenecks found weeks late
No visibility across locations or entities
KPI definitions nobody agrees on
Spreadsheet assembly as a full-time job
What's included
- KPI definition workshops — metrics that map to decisions
- Data unification across ERP, CRM, finance, and ops tools
- Executive and departmental dashboards
- Exception and bottleneck alerting
- Automated recurring reports — weekly ops, monthly exec
- Data-quality remediation where sources disagree
- Handover and training so your team owns it
- KPI dictionary with agreed definitions
How it works
On the Olyra 120: assess data sources and define KPIs (Phase 1), design the data model and architecture (Phase 2), build and validate against numbers you already trust (Phase 3), then deploy, tune alert thresholds, and expand coverage (Phase 4). A first working dashboard on your highest-value question typically lands inside 30–45 days.
Deliverables
Live dashboard suite · KPI dictionary · Alerting rules · Automated report pack · Source-data quality report.
Example systems
A distribution operator watches dock-to-stock time by site, daily — and exceptions page the right manager.
A firm sees utilization and project margin weekly instead of quarterly, by practice and by person.
A franchise group compares unit economics across locations on one screen, with agreed definitions.
A CFO gets a same-day cash and AR position each morning instead of a week-old spreadsheet.
Realistic outcomes
- One agreed set of numbers across leadership
- Decisions made days earlier on current data
- Bottlenecks visible before customers feel them
- Hours of manual report assembly eliminated
Operational intelligence FAQ
Is this a software product we license from you?
No. We build the intelligence layer on established, widely-supported tools chosen for your stack and budget, configured for your KPIs, and handed over to your team with documentation. You own it. Our value is in the design, the data unification, and getting numbers everyone trusts — not in locking you into a platform.
How is this different from the Power BI or Tableau we already have?
Licenses aren't the bottleneck — trusted, unified data and decision-mapped KPIs are. If you already have a BI tool, we usually build with it. The engagement fixes what's usually broken: inconsistent definitions, disconnected sources, and dashboards nobody uses because nobody trusts them.
What about messy data?
Expected. Discovery includes a source-by-source quality assessment; the build includes remediation where it matters for the KPIs. We're explicit about which numbers are decision-grade and which need cleanup — and we won't ship a dashboard that hides that difference.
How fast do we see something usable?
A first working dashboard on your highest-value question typically lands inside the first 30–45 days, then expands. Big-bang, everything-at-once rollouts fail; we sequence by decision value.
